1885 - Dr HH Kane At Home Addiction Treatment Ad

The typesetting of this ad is very interesting.
I wonder how successful this treatment was?
I guess if it was successful people would still be using it now.

1900 Ladies Home Journal Ad - Warner's Rust Proof Corsets

I never really thought about rusty corsets being a problem.
Who knew!?

1900 Ad Amour's Extract of Beef

I guess people now are drinking bone broth tea, so maybe beef tea isn't so strange,
but I prefer peppermint or orange pekoe.  It's interesting to look at an old magazine or
catalog and see how many older companies have survived over time.  This ad is from 1900
and Armour is still in the grocery aisle today.  I'm sure the company has passed through
several hands , but the name is still  out there.

1903 Studebaker Cabriolet Carriage Wagon Print Ad

In 1903 only 23,000 cars were registered in the United States.
By 1920, Studebaker had sold off its carriage-making division to concentrate
only on making cars.

I've got lots of other fun ephemera over there too!

This Morton's Salt blotter is from the 1920s and is so colorful and graphic!

Trader Vic's Appetizer Menu - Bayshore Inn, Vancouver, BC CANADA - 1960s - Room Service

I love the design on old tiki menus!
We had a Trader Vic's here in Portland in the 60s, it closed in the 90s and re-opened in the early 2000s only to have a fire and never open again.
We do have a fantastic Tiki bar called Hale Pele though!
